Wrench Rally is a multi-day back roads automotive adventure celebrating American travel, mechanical creativity, and roadside discovery. Teams begin with budget-built machines and navigate each day using riddles, clues, and photo challenges rather than prescribed routes.

The journey winds through small towns, forgotten highways, and historical landmarks. Expect scenic landscapes, industrial heritage sites, Route 66 flavor, and Texas oil country history. Every mile is an invitation to explore the places and stories that shaped the American road.

The rally prizes creativity over speed. Success comes from teamwork, ingenuity, and the ability to turn unexpected detours into unforgettable stories. Each night closes with a gathering where crews share their discoveries, trade fixes, and prepare for the next leg.

This adventure carries a deeper purpose. When the rally ends, participating cars can be donated to support Parkinson’s research. If you opt to keep your vehicle, the suggested donation to our charity partner is $1,000.

Your journey begins.
Teams depart Detroit at staggered intervals and follow a riddle-driven route across Ohio and into Kentucky.

A long, beautiful day across Western Kentucky, the Missouri Bootheel, and deep into Arkansas.

• Bourbon country countryside
• The Bootheel region
• Ozark foothills
• Thermal-spring destination city finish

Approximate distance: 480 miles

Twisting rural vistas across Arkansas and Oklahoma before entering the Texas ranch and lake country.

Highlights:

• Ouachita mountains
• Route 66 influences
• Tribal nation regions
• Sunset arrival at Possum Kingdom Lake

The final leg of the rally — rolling south into the heart of Texas.
